Meet Our Staff
My name is Katie Stowers, and I am the Medaryville Nursery School preschool teacher. I was born and raised in Medaryville. I graduated from West Central and I have a BSW from Indiana State University. I live in Francesville, IN with my husband and children. I have 5 adopted children (Sophia-13, Chloe-10, Ryder-9, Johnathan-9, and Landen-7) and one biological child (Olivia-5 months). I have almost 20 years of experience working with children in an educational, foster care, special needs, and of course parental setting. In addition to teaching preschool, I also teach English as a second language to children in China ranging in age from 3-12 within an online platform.
I graduated from MNS as a young child myself, and my mother taught for MNS when I was younger. This program holds a special place in my heart, and I love being a part of it.
At MNS, we know that every student is unique and we strive to meet each child on their level and give them opportunities to learn and develop through exploration and play. Our philosophy is that each student learns differently and we strive to ensure every child is taught according to their learning style.
To contact Ms. Katie about classroom questions:
My name is Candace, and I am the teaching assistant at Medaryville Nursery School. I live in Francesville with my two boys, Daniel and Dakota. I have a number of years experience working with preschool classes and will be graduating with an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education by December. As an Early Childhood Professional, I am responsible for ensuring that I meet and uphold the high standards of professionalism. I have the unique position to develop and shape minds, and I will not take that for granted.
