Be a Substitute Teacher in our Classroom

Substitute Teacher / Teaching Assistant

Medaryville Nursery School is always looking for high-quality people who love working with kids and are willing to help out in our classroom occasionally as a Substitute Teacher.

Because we have 2 full-time staff members, typically the substitute will be in the classroom alongside one of our regular staff members. If our head teacher is out of class, our teaching assistant fills the role of head teacher for the day, and the substitute will work as the teaching assistant.

Criminal History Background Check

All substitute teachers are required to have completed a criminal history background check within the current school year (or the summer preceding the current school year), prior to their first time in the classroom. Please submit a MNS Criminal History Background Check Form (criminal_history_volunteer_chaperone.pdf ) to the West Central Elementary office staff. Competed forms may be emailed to [email protected] or dropped off in person at the elementary school office. West Central will run the check for MNS and share the results with us.
